Metropolitan Opera soprano, Irina Rindzuner, was born in Russia. In the 2011- 2012 season, Ms. Rindzuner sang Turandot live stream with the Braunschweig Staatstheater , Turandot with Saarlaendisches Staatstheater , and Trovatore with Landestheater Linz . Irina covered Minnie at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and debuted as Minnie at the Tiroler Landstheater.
Upcoming for Ms. Rindzuner is Abigaille in Erfurt, a return to the New York City Ballet for Russian Seasons and Turandot with Minnesota Opera.
Ms. Rindzuner began 2009-2010 singing Turandot in Santiago de Chile. She sang her first Amelia at the PAC Center in New Jersey.
Irina joined the MET roster in the 2008-2009 season. She sang Minnie with the L’Opera de Montreal. The debut was called a “stunning success” by the Montreal press. She returned to L’Opera de Montreal for the December gala concert. Ms. Rindzuner sang Manon Lescaut with the Utah Festival Opera, Desdemona with the Vero Beach Opera, Turandot with the National Lyric Opera. A favorite with the New York City Ballet, Ms. Rindzuner performed the Russian Seasons in London and Copenhagen. She collaborated often with star tenor, Marcello Giordani in recital.
In the 2007 season, Ms. Rindzuner made her New York City Opera debut as Santuzza, she also sang Manon Lescaut to rave notices by famed critic, Clive Barnes. Irina has performed with Tulsa Opera, the Teatro di Casal Maggiore , Yekaterinburg Opera, New Jersey Verismo Opera, and with the New York Choral Society, Mid-America Productions at Carnegie Hall, the Puerto Rico Symphony, the Silesian Philharmonic (Poland), and at the Khabarovsk Theater (Russia). Irina has won international vocal competitions in Italy (Monteverdi International Vocal Competition), Russia (First Opera International Vocal Competition) and been a finalist at the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists in Chicago the Licia Albanese Puccini Foundation in New York City, and a Gerde Lissner winner.
